Program Hosting at SMS

TLV and the land at SMS are available to host small, teacher-led, programs or retreats that are aligned with our vision and mission, and that can be supported by our rustic, simple facilities. Educators who wish to host programs at TLV or Sacred Mountain Sanctuary must first familiarize themselves with our learning environments, as well as our approach to stewardship, education and community.  A period of contemplation and quiet time in the Sanctuary is an introductory requirement.  After this period, we may enter a dialogue around your program details, and mutually determine if a program partnership is appropriate.  Programs are limited to 30 participants, including staff/facilitators.

If you are interested in hosting a program at TLV or SMS, please email Rebecca Vann with your proposal.

Facilities

Gathering Spaces:
Facilities at SMS are intentionally simple, and intended to serve small groups of 30 or less.
We have indoor gathering spaces that can comfortably accommodate up to 14 adults, gathered in a circle. Our covered outdoor pavilion is a beautiful space to gather during inclement weather or hot, sunny days.  A meditation loop path, through shady rhododendrons, down to a flowing creek and back, is a beautiful natural enhancement for any kind of programming. Alternately, the Sanctuary's hundreds of acres of fields, forest, and orchards, can be a magical place to practice movement, yoga, Tai Qi, or meditation.

Yome Classrooms: Our yomes are yurt-like structures that can be used for gathering, classes and workshops for up to 14 people. Outfitted with a small woodstove, these spaces are delightful for all types of intimate gatherings.  There are four yomes available for smalls gatherings, classes, or focus work.  Check for availability, as these classrooms are occupied Monday-Thursday of each week during the TLV programming season.

Amenities Cabin:
Includes fully equipped vegetarian kitchen, dining table, wifi, bathroom, and shower.

Overnight/Sleeping Options for Participants and Facilitators Include:
Tent camping: available in designated areas only, inquire about locations
EcoBunkies: tiny, tidy, non-electrified sleeping cabins that can accommodate up to 4 people per cabin,  easy walk to spring and amenities cabin with toilets, shower, full kitchen.
